The Variables
- TV size and weight.
- Wall type: drywall on studs, brick, stone, or metal studs.
- Over a fireplace or not.
- Who supplies the mount.
- Cords on the wall, in a raceway, or in the wall.
Base Price Plus Add-Ons
A base price for a standard mount on drywall, plus add-ons for masonry, fireplace, larger TVs, in-wall cord concealment and supplying the mount.
Ask for Photos
A photo of the wall and the TV box tells you most of what you need.
Two-Person Jobs
Large TVs need two people. Price for it.
Safety Note
In-wall power for a TV is a code question in some places. Use a rated kit and know your local rules.
Customer Prep
In the night-before text, ask the customer to have the TV, mount and remote out.
