The Holiday Rush: TV Mounts, Guest Rooms and Last-Minute Lists
Everyone Wants It Done Before Family Arrives
From early November to mid-December, handyman calls change: new TVs to mount, furniture to assemble, guest bathrooms to fix, doors that need to close, lights that need hanging.
Open the Calendar Early
Text past customers in October: "Getting ready for the holidays? We're booking November now." Early bookings fill the calendar before the rush.
Short Jobs, Tight Routes
Holiday work is mostly short, indoor jobs. That's ideal for neighborhood routing: five or six quick jobs per van per day.
Set a Cutoff
Decide the last day you'll take new pre-holiday work, and say it. "Book by December 10 for before Christmas."
